  • Impersonating my mortgage company

Gentleman calls me yesterday asking if I received new modification papers, somehow he was able to use my mortgage co. Phone # maybe it someone within company anyhow he said I missed deadline by one day but he could still help me, he said I would get my interest rate down to 2.0 and new payment would be 697.19 but since a day late I would have to wire cas, so I called my mortgage co. And asked about new modification and they new nothing about it, my contract hasn't changed, so I new I was being scammed, the problem is that they are able to use my mortgage co. 800# to make it seem legitimate so probably inside job anyhow I sure there more victims than me and probably some not as lucky as me to catch on if someone one could investigate this before people lose thousands.
