  • Job employment scam.

    $35.00Unresolved

I applied for a mover job on Craigslist and was told that the position had been taken but there was a position for a personal assistant to run errands for 600 to 700 a wk Well I didn't check my email for a few days and all of a sudden there was fedex at my door at 7 in the morning and it was a big envelope and so I opened it and it was a check for 5000 dollars. I took it to my bank and was going to deposit it and they told me they had gotten ahold of Lewis county title company and was informed the check was fraudulent and put my bank on hold to talk to their fraud dept.

  • Advance-Fee Work at Home Scam

    $2,000.00Unresolved

Starting on February 12, 2017, I fell for a scam. On that day, a facebook friend and fellow online marketer claimed that if I pay him money to go towards processing fees, he would give me a larger investment, a new vehicle, and a spot in his business. That same February 12, I clearly told him that I was just fired from my job two days earlier, he ignored what I said and still persisted in ripping me off. After paying all of the fees, even paying him the $1000 that my mom gave me to pay off part of my student loan debt, he kept on asking me for more money. On March 11, 2017, my mom found out that I gave him the money instead of paying off part of the loan debt. I was temporarily kicked out of the house. While I was homeless, I let Mims know that because of your actions, I was kicked out of the house, he still insisted that I pay him. Since March 12, the day my mom let me come back in the house, I have only been told to sleep on the floor downstairs, and only drive my car when I am going to work, or tutoring a high school student. Thus, he ruined my relationship with my mom. I told him that I cannot pay any bills because I am broke and will get caught by my mom if I do. He still asks for more money for processing fees. I have come to a conclusion that he is a scam artist who has also scammed others, and his only bottom line is his money, or other people's hard earned money.

I received the same email, but my contact's name was "Adrian Cline". They offered a "job" that was basically just buying gift cards and sending them the numbers. They gave access to a bank account to pay your credit card bill. MAJOR red flag when you call the bank, the account doesn't exist.

I just received the same email. What can I do to help these people to stop with these scams? I had another scam and I made up a story and told him I had turned his $3000 check over to the IFISTA. Which I told him was the Internet Fraud Investigating Tactical Agency. I told him he better get to moving fast cause they were hot on his tail. a

This is very good information because I have been emailed the same type of letter, just different companies. I can't believe people will go to this extreme to scam people who really need jobs or would like to work from home to take care of their small children. I'm glad that I have sent any banking info or cashed any checks that have been sent to me. Please people...be careful and report these people and hopefully this gets resolved

[email protected] gmail.com - Mrs.Tamera Morales - Libra Group / I received an email detailing a complicated and unnecessary requirement to set up gmail account and then go to google hangouts and message Tamara Morales. The whole thing sounded suspicious so I Googled the gmail they gave me and luckily I was led to Angry Citizen and found out that it was a scam. I'll definitely be coming back here to check many other suspicious contacts that come to me. Thanks a ton.

7/25/2016,Intersting, I had a reply from a job search I went thru Ziprecruiter as well. Mark Hinman, with the email contact [email protected], instructions to add him to my "hangout" to do interview online immedieatley. Same story as your poster, however I expressed concern when he asked what location I was in. I gave him city & state only (duh....everything else is on my resume. Low and behold Dec 20,2016 here in Hermitage TN. I did a quick google scam search, because my "gut" was telling me to block this dude....am I am glad I did. I am report to zip recruiter and to my local BBB. I hope this helps someone else. Upon further scam investigation looks like these are some really bad people and others have lost money. So far I just lost some time.

I called the bank from where the cashiers check for 2930.00 came from.it was a fraud. I scanned it n sent to that bank to thier fraud department with all info I had. I texted him n said he was not being upfront on my questions so I think it is a scam. Right after that, I couldn't text him.. so he gone.

I worked a month for this company and they never paid me. I have a contract with them. I did my part and they took advantage of a disabled person. I am mentally and physically disabled by the State of Florida. This company needs to be stopped and shut down. They are reported and I am going to first protect myself second go after them. Unacceptable to lie and email me my paycheck was mailed and never recieved as well as they not answering their phone..Very upsetting
