I realized that I have been getting charged 12.97 every month for so long that I’m embarrassed to admit. But it is easy to overlook because of charge shows as. Free shipping.com. I must have clicked on something but I have no memory of deliberately joining. I called my credit card and am getting reimbursed for some of it. After I shopped on line, June 3rd 8to9pm, at PeaPod for groceries, as I have done numerous times without problems, I checked my recent transactions to make sure they went through. I came across a charge for 12.97 with a company listed--IC *FREESHIPPING.COM,800-515-9185,CT. Never heard of these people. I did my shopping at 8p-9p and the charge in dispute stated the charge was generated the early morning of that day at 6:05 am. I was sleeping at 6am and this all smacks of a scam. PeaPod is a wonderful service and for disabled folks like myself it is a God send. However it's sad to think that it may have anything to do with this bogus charge from the shipping company. (The shipping company that charged me stated "Oh you signed up for a *FREE* 7 day trial for reduced delivery fees. SAY WHAT!!!! If I did (I know I did not!) If it is FREE why the $12.97 charge to my direct express card? As money is so limited right know due to my disability I would never do something as wasteful as signing up for that service- which I had never ever heard about. Called again this morning and was told it could take a week to be credited to my account. I did remind her that this card is only used for GOVERNMENT program of SSDI, and that they need to be careful just charging cards fraudulently esp with peoples government issued cards and money. Now I play the waiting game. If $$$ not refunded by Friday the10th God help the poor soul who answers my call LOL> ;-)Show more
