A rep called me in October 2016, informed me about how great the plan was and the Deductible was only $1,000, Co-Pay $30, and Monthly Premium is $307. I was informed, that In-Patient, Out Patient and Emergency Room would be paid by the plan, plus Bills exceed $1,000 plan would activate 80% paid by Everest Insurance and 20% paid by me. Which is totally not true!! I had to go to Hospital Emergency on March 27, 2017 for an Injury, the plan only paid $250 for Emergency Room, Subtract $1,000 from Medical Bills and I (the Patient) get to pay the Remaining Balance of $3,330. Really was not expecting to pay that much out of pocket. Everest did not pay the 80% that I had been told back in October 2016 that they would. They gave me a fictitious website address to check on my plan and it does not even go to their website. They also sent me in May 2016 (2 months after my Injury) to fill out a Questionnaire Survey on how I was injured, where, and other Details. I have never filled out a Questionnaire on any Medical Issues in my life and now they are telling me they will not pay the 80%....
So yes, both companies are a SCAM!! I cancelled my Everest Health Insurance Policy for the remaining months of the year, because they don't deserve to have any more of my money of Monthly Premium of $307. I would rather pay Federal Penalty of $600 than deal with this kind of treatment and Scam of so called "health Insurance." I plan to report them to the Government in the near future. My advice don't contact either company, all you end up doing is paying High Premium and get stab in the back for an outrageous amount of money.
