The system LETGO is setup so loosely, that it's easy for scammers to figure out a "smart" way to scam people. There are many signs to look for so you have a lesser chance of falling into a trap. We should all be educated about this but since it's so easy to setup a new email address (free) and it's so easy to snap a picture of a vehicle that does not belong to you an list it for sale on LetGo (iin a matter of seconds), it's just an open ground for thieves to try to figure out a way so you cannot trace them easily and can't get your money back. As far as I know these are people operating from anywhere in the world scamming the innocents who are looking for good deals on the open market. They should all be banned and if caught, with severe penalty (at least years in prison). But until we can figure out a way to stop them, I think the best we can do is to just buy locally where you can go in person to check out the vehicle, see the pink slip and both parties can go to the bank and DMV together to make all the transfer paperwork done properly. (you do not want back fines from prior tickets on that vehicles, right?). I would suggest everyone not use LetGo, and use other means to find deals. As usual, read up all about scams and know about them and don't fall in those traps. Good luck all.
