  • Claimed I won 75,000 dollars but have to pay 1,080 dollars taxes

    $0.00Unresolved

Created fake profile on facebook of my good friend, then messaged me claiming she saw me on a winning list and to contact Oyewole Atinuke Damilola (David Wayne) on facebook. I did so believing and trusting my friend whose identity they are using her name is Judy Burr when I ask Judy to call me and she didn't I know something was not right. Then I got a call from a Kansas area code number (913)-428-9190 a guy who barley spoke English was on the other line asking if I had the confirmation number from the money gram he instructed me to send $1,080 to Ben Williams 9208 south university ave zip 60619 USA Chicago Illinois. Of course I did not send the money I am worried about him using other people's identity for this scam. I hope this information helps.

  • Conning people out of money

    $400.00Unresolved

Received phone call from a Michael Anderson stating I have won 2.5 million from Publishers Clearing House and to send $400.00 Western Union to retrieve my IRD number for tax purposes. He was an experienced con artist due to the fact he sounded very convincing. He told me that that delivery team that delivered my money was waiting for me to wire the money to this account in Jamaica, an offshore acct that handles the winners money. Once the money was received then the delivery team would then show up at my house to deliver the check for the 2.5 million. This so happened to be after banking hours, in which he said the the senior lawyer handling the acct will need to escort me to my bank to deposit the check. He then stated the team was from a big city a few hours away from my home town and if I had a hotel in town. That they wanted me to contact them the following morning to meet with me at my bank so I can collect my winnings. They would have everything in place then. I had repeatedly ask him if this was a scam and he kept reassuring me "no worries everything is going to be okay. I just had give my full cooperation and believe that "good things happen to those who wait". The next morning I made a drive by the hotel that I had give to him the night before, there were 6 cars total in the parking lot, 5 being out of state and the other being my home state that did not and was not marked with the PCH sign on the front side doors. I had knew I have been scammed and after receiving several calls on my cell phone, the number I was contacted through, I blocked all future calls from my phone. I feel ashamed and very stupid for falling for such a heartless crime I want others to be aware of the jerks out to con people out of their money.

Dont believe none of those sweepstakes!- its all a scam!- especially the more popular one!- publishers clearing house!!! Its nothing but a fraud! Their scratchouts are bogus! I scratched off 30,00.00 $ just to be told- u didn't win yet!- only if we pick your number! If not u get nothing!- that's fake! If it was the real one or the lottery I would have gotten my money! Shame on them for wasting my time! But never again! Pch.com avoid it!!!!
